About Us

Jaylene Garau, the author of The Motivated Child, is a certified teacher in the state of Florida. Prior to becoming a teacher, Jaylene had a successful career as a television reporter for the NBC station in Miami. She has covered numerous education stories as a journalist in Florida and in Texas. Jaylene has been affiliated with the original big three networks. In addition to her work at NBC, she also worked for CBS and ABC affiliate stations in Texas. As a teacher, Jaylene quickly gained respect from her colleagues and from the parents of her students. She developed The Motivated Child when she was a classroom teacher. The program is based on the successful strategies she used to motivate her students to reach their fullest potential. She realized there was a need for such a program after numerous parents had approached her asking for help in motivating their kids at home. Jaylene developed this program with busy families in mind. Her hope is that The Motivated Child will enrich the lives of families who use it and motivate children to do and to be their best.

We are committed to giving back and to making a difference in the lives of children and families. A portion of our proceeds is donated to schools and organizations that help children.  Jaylene offers free parenting seminars in the South Florida area to teach parents how to bring out the best in their children. It is another way that our company is giving back to the community to ensure a brighter future for our children. If you are interested in having her speak at your school or to your parent group, please email us at info@motivatedchild.com. We donate 10% of the sale of each box to the hosting school or group. We ask for a minimum of 50 attendees.
